Five mountain railways take one rapidly from Bolzano to the highest points in the immediate vicinity whence incredibly magnificent mountain panoramas can be seen. Autumn, the epoch of fruit gathering and of new wine, is considered the finest season in the happy Adige Valley, then tinted in a hundred hues, and is particularly well adapted for a sojourn of some time for the grape and fruit cures.
