to go to Hungerburg on foot must climb up from Innsbruck through the narrow Höttingergasse to the new and old Hotting Churches where a driving road begins which leads up in a pleasant ascent with beautiful views past the Stettnerhof and, Ölberg inn to the big Nagelfluh quarry which strikes the eye even in the valley below. Now go still further on once more to the right along the Rieglsteig to the Wilhelm- Greil-Weg coming up from Weiherburg, and along this or along a steep short-cut away on the left to Hungerburg

. Or go up from the stone quarry on the left along the new well made highroad running in wide curves and taking 1 hour from the town. The most beautiful ascent runs up from Weilierburg over the splendid Wilhelm-Greil-Weg to Hungerburg. (See above.) A number of magnificent promenade walks laid out by the 'Innsbruck Society Preservation of the Neighbourhood' traverse the extensive wooded districts of the wide Hungerburg terrace. The most attractive are the following: Hungerburg—Muhlauer Klamm—Rechenhof

(1 '/, hour) —Muhlau. (1 hour. Very worth while.) Go straight from the station past the restaurant away to the right, and on up through the wood (where the Wilhelm-Greil-Weg branches off to the right) and come in a few minutes to the Rechenhofweg, then along this almost on the level through beautiful woods with different kinds of trees to the Miihlau Ravine (Mühlauer Klamm). Ascending a little we shall reach the meadows of the Purenhof and further on the Rechenhof, a good inn in l'/s hours. From the
